The Australian Stroke Coalition is establishing a National Stroke Rehabilitation Taskforce. The Taskforce is dedicated to improving stroke rehabilitation services across Australia and aims to address the critical gaps in stroke rehabilitation services.
This Taskforce will work with stakeholders to develop an agreed plan to advocate for improvements in stroke rehabilitation, including models of care to ensure equity of access, workforce recommendations, national data systems to monitor quality in rehabilitation, and agree on standards and targets for improving the quality of stroke rehabilitation.
Our mission is to ensure equitable access to high-quality rehabilitation for all survivors of stroke, regardless of their location or background. By providing leadership, advocating for funding, and ensuring best-practice rehabilitation, we strive to improve the quality of life for all survivors of stroke. Together, we can make a difference in stroke rehabilitation.
Further information will be posted here as the Taskforce is established, and any enquiries can be directed to asc@strokefoundation.org.au.
