ASC 2025 Awards: Winners announced

The Australian Stroke Coalition is pleased to announce the winners of its national awards for 2025. These awards have been established by the Australian Stroke Coalition to recognise high performing hospitals.

The awards have been based on data submitted to the Australian Stroke Clinical Registry (AuSCR), and there are two categories:

  • Quality Stroke Service Awards
  • 30/60/90 National Stroke Targets Awards

ASC Quality Stroke Service Awards

The ASC Quality Stroke Service Awards recognise Australian health services that have achieved the highest standards for delivering quality in stroke care, based on eight quality of care indicators in line with the Living Clinical Guidelines for Stroke Management and Australian Acute Stroke Clinical Care Standard. These awards are determined based on a composite score, derived from eight variables submitted to the AuSCR.

To qualify for an Excellence Award, hospitals must have achieved a composite score of 80 percent or more, and to qualify for a Distinction Award, hospitals must have achieved a composite score of 70 percent or more.

ASC 30/60/90 National Stroke Targets Awards

The second category of ASC Awards are focused on the 30/60/90 National Stroke Targets. For each Targets metric for a calendar year:

  • The top performing hospital (e.g. hospital with the fastest median door-to-needle time) will receive an award.
  • The most improved hospital will receive an award.

Congratulations to all of the winners of this year’s ASC Awards.
